Conversion to E85 not easy or cheap Posted on June 29th
Q: I have a 1998 GMC pickup. Do you know what I would have to do to convert it to use ethanol?

A: Unless you own a fleet of trucks that spend a lot of time on the road, such a conversion is probably not feasible.
According to the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition: “In the strictest sense, a vehicle designed to operate on unleaded gasoline could be converted to run on E85.”
