Older Car Parts, Hard To Find But Out There Posted on March 26th
Matt,
I have a 1941 DODGE Military Model WC-1, half ton 4×4 pick up truck that I am restoring. I am looking for bushings for the shocks. I have pressed out the old ones (what was left) and am looking for new. Can you help? Thanks, Chuck
Chuck needs bushings. Seems simple enough, right? In this case, it wasn’t bad at all. I work on Porsches not Power Wagons, but a little bit of Googling got me some good info in about 5 minutes. Chuck’s bushings were waiting for him at VintagePowerWagons.com, and they were in stock. My point is this: Don’t think it’s a waste of time to scour the internet looking for a hard-to-find part. Google is your friend. The web is another important tool in your arsenal, just be sure to use it wisely!
