Bill Fleischman: Kurt Busch enjoying fast start to NASCAR season Posted on March 21st
FOR A CHANGE, there were no questions for Kurt Busch about his brother during a Tuesday conference call. While Kyle Busch was collecting eight wins last year in the Sprint Cup series (21 overall, including the Nationwide and truck series), Kurt was been relegated to "the other Busch brother" status. Older brother Kurt, 30, is the 2004 Sprint Cup series champion. With his victory at Atlanta , he has won 19 Cup races. He's still seven career wins ahead of Kyle. To Kurt's credit, he never complained, at least publicly, about all the attention Kyle, 23, received. Now, the focus is on Kurt. He is third in the points standings, just 46 behind leader Jeff Gordon. "We're definitely pumped with how our season has started," Kurt said.
